I replaced an older, more expensive unit of a different brand with this. I had to modify the box and auxiliary fan that the old unit was in to fit this one. Not a fault of this unit. It has been working well in a half-acre pond and is fairly quiet. It runs 24/7. If I could, I would have rated this at 4.5. Decent unit, but not the most heavy duty.
